Product news: Not yet on the shelves but G.I. Joe Origins: Beach Head has been moved up to be a January release. Preorder via your local comic shop fast! Also new, and not really intended to be a mass sales item, but hard to get outside of Germany is my new ARTWORK CALENDAR. It features my best cover artworks for novels from Warhammer 40.000 to Shadowrun but also lots of fantasy art (like, uhm, Dragons!). If you want to order one of these signed and numbered Calenders (limited to 99 copies) you better move fast because we only have around 30 left. The others all went to selected retailers, and some companies. E-mail me via the contact form if you want one (I expect I can offer it for 40,- US$ due to mounting Paypal-costs and shipping fees). I might also set up an E-bay offer for this.You can order them in Germany from my friends at Mephisto Magazine Shop and Weissblechcomics! Retail price in Germany is 14,50€. In the works: G.I Joe Origins: SNOW JOB. Started sketching, yeah! Busy with finishing up some other assignments, too but nothing I may share in the moment. My Deviant Art account might have some new stuff every once in a while, though. Oh, and the new issue of Mephisto Magazine is coming up, looking great. Check it out in this full preview, I did the Degenesis illustrations with Christian Günther again on writing duties.
Events: Nothing scheduled for the next three months, yet. Next Cons might be Wondercon in San Francisco (USA) and the Roleplay Con in Germany in 2010.
Deutschland News: Zwei Kurznachrichten zum Thema “Zeichenschule” in 2010. Im Sommersemester werde ich an der Universität Bielefeld wieder ein Seminar im English Department anbieten, dass sich auf Graphic Storytelling in den USA fokussiert, wie immer mit großem Praxisteil.
Die Termine für die VHS-Zeichenworkshops kann ich hier schon mal inoffiziell bekannt geben. Anmeldung erst ab Anfang Januar über die Website der VHS-Bielefeld.
