As the last update of this site is from december 2006 there’s a flurry of new items on the shelves containing my work. Transformers Escalation #3, #4 and, just out, #5feature my variant covers (B) – check out desktop wallpapers I made for #3 and #4 on IDW’s website or rather here.
Horrorschocker #13 just came back from the printer here in Germany, here’s a preview, also nice to look at for our international viewers. Horrorschocker Preview.
Also new in Germany is Mephisto Magazine #37 which again features a Degenesis RPG article and much, much more. Check out a prview on the 8 page Degenesis article here. You can oder it via Mephisto Magazine’s new online shop here.
Finally, Battltech has just released Handbook: House Davion for which I supplied some critter illustrations. Keep updated regarding my Battletech work via www.classicbattletech.com!
In the works:
Having completed the cover for the Desert Raiders Warhammer 40.000 novel I was asked by Games Workshop’s publishing hourse The Black Library to also provide a Word Bearer for the upcoming Dark Apostle novel – keep updated by checking the BL publishing schedule.
Work on Degenesis Cultbook: Spitaliens continues. Christian Günther is still writing while I use holes in my busy schedule to produce artwork. The book will surely contain at least fifty (50!) illustrations by me. Check out some of my illustrations in our exclusive Sighpress Designer Diary section, also containing PDF-work in progress- files, sketches and enlightening annotations.
Another item that is not yet in availlable in retail is Battletech’s new sourcebook Jihad Hot Spots: 3072 for which I supplied the cover you can download here.
Two more color jobs are in my schedule for my collegue Vatche Mavlian (Spider-Man/Daredevil, The Phantom), one for Weissblechcomic’s KALA comic character the other for Cthulu under BOOM-Studios USA. Both covers features Vatche’s spectacular linework and I will try my best to do them justice with my colors.
There are a couple of assignments on my plate about which I can’t talk yet. Others are still in negotiations, I’ll spill the beans as soon as I can. ;-)
My next con’s will be the Münster RPC and I might drop by the Munic Comic con. Not sure yet. Check back here for more on my next con appearances.
Germany/Deutschland News:
Als erstes möchte ich mich noch einmal bei allen (24) Teilnehmern des VHS Zeichen-Workshops im März bedanken. Es hat mir riesig Freude gemacht und es war stark so viele verschiedene Stile und Fähigkeiten unter ein Dach zu kriegen. Einige kamen sogar aus dem fernen München hoch nach Bielefeld, das spiegelt wieder wie motiviert alle Teilnehmer waren; ich hoffe viele von Euch nächstes Jahr wieder zu sehen, um das Gelernte noch einmal zu überprüfen oder einfach nur aus Spaß an der Sache :-). Danke auch für das positive Feedback aus allen Richtungen!
Die Leipziger Buchmesse war besonders lustig dieses Jahr, meinen Erfahrungsbericht mit tollen Händy-fotos gibt’s hier in der Degenesis News Sektion.
Apropos Conventions, in Münster findet im April zum ersten Mal die Role-play con statt! Mephisto wird mit einem tollen Stand mit vor Ort sein und ich werde dort fleißig zeichnen, Mephistos und Comics signieren, Prints und Originale verkaufen und Auskünfte zu aktuellen Projekten geben. Besonders Interessant für alle die den Zeichenworkshop im März verpasst haben, es wird am Samstag der RPC Veranstaltung ein Seminar zum Thema Spiele-Illustration und Zeichnen geben, mehr Infos hier.
Noch mal als Deutschlandmeldung: Mephisto hat ein neues Online-heim. www.mephisto.name wird in Zukunft aktuelle News veröffentlichen und Inhalte wie Rezensionen aus dem Printmagazin archivieren. Einblicke in aktuelle oder kommende Ausgaben sind genauso vorhanden wie ein neuer Shop der das Beziehen des Printmagazins in Zukunft noch einfacher macht. Reinschauen!
