Fresh on the shelves is Transformers Escalation #2. The monthly comicbook chronicling the adventures of the Robots in Disguise here on Earth comes with two covers, one by regular artist E.J. Su and one by me. Check out a new desktop motive in IDW’s desktop section here.
Germany’s Mephisto RPG magazine is in stores punctually before X-mas. This extra big 116 page issue #35 contains a lot of illos by yours truely, for shadowrun and Confrontation. Previews of the articles here.
In the works:
Okay, where to start? I just finished three illos for Shadowrun’s Emergence sourcebook, provided breakdown-pencils for another 6page story for Germany’s Horrorschocker anthology comicbook line (issue 12# is just out, on the back of the book you’ll find a preview on my upcoming “Rabizu” story and cover!). Then I agreeed to do two illustrations for the producers of the World of Darkness roleplaying game. I’m working on the “3072 cover” for Battletech that will take a bit longer than expected for all the details I’m squeezing into it. Nottingham based The Black Library has asked me to do another Warhammer 40k cover featuring Tyranids and a certain brand of Imperial Guard soldiers – look out for Desert Raiders!
Degenesis Cultbook: Spitaliens is still in the works, check out some of my illustrations in the frequently updated Designer Diary section, also containing PDF-work in progress- files.
Transformers related news: Anybody who has seen the great new movie trailer can imagine how psyched I am to provide a variant cover for the TF comic book movie prequels coming at you next year from IDW! I just wrapped up my slate of variant covers for the 6-issue Escalation series, too. As I mentioned before they ship in a 50-50 ratio so some of those should make it to Germany, as well. 2007 wird ein spektakuläres Jahr werden wenn ich so auf meine Planung gucke und der März wird ein besonders voller Monat; nicht nur dass ich mich auf die Leipziger Buchmesse begeben werde, es wird auch wieder der Jährliche Intensiv-Illustrationskurs „Illustration und Comiczeichnen“ in Bielefeld stattfinden, und zwar am Samstag/Sonntag 3. und 4. März 2007. Anmeldung hier. Diesmal gibt es im März danach auch einen Aufbaukurs für Ortsansässige der einmal Wöchentlich erlaubt Feedback zu (eigenen oder gestellten) Projekten im Comicbereich einzuholen, wer interessiert ist clickt hier.
Im April dann gibt es in Münster zum ersten Mal die Role-play con! Mephisto wird mit einem tollen Stand mit vor Ort sein und ich werde dort fleißig zeichnen, Prints und Originale verkaufen und Auskünfte zu aktuellen Projekten geben.
